WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades, also referred as "upping" are enchantments or items that increase the stats of weapons and armor. These upgrade components add a certain number of points to the level gauge for the item, with their cost increasing with their popularity.
A perfectly made version of this armor is highly prized in the melee PvP community due to its ability to minimize the amount of damage a weapon can cause.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are an essential part of the equipment crafting process. Upgrades can improve an item's stats or enhance its strength, or even give it an additional benefit. They can also alter the item's appearance. While some upgrades are universal, others have special rules for applying to weapons or armor. The wrong upgrade can ruin an otherwise excellent weapon, and could even cause it to become ineffective.
The general rule is that you can only upgrade an piece of equipment to the level of the highest-level gear in its category. This means that you are able to upgrade body armors, helms, gloves and shields to the level of their top-of-the-line counterparts. Weapons can be upgraded to the level equivalent of the sword. However, this won't increase the damage output of the weapon and could decrease its value in trade.
To upgrade an item you need to spend flightstones and crests. The amount you pay for each depends on the item's level and slot. Upgrades to a sword, for example will cost more flightstones compared to an upgrade of an Cloak. You can also get discounts on the number of flightstones and crests needed to upgrade an item.
When you upgrade an item, it fills its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step raises Tier level by one-third. Tier 3 is the highest level. It can take several upgrades to get to this level, based on the item. It is crucial to remember that any procedure that may mount a disk shouldn't be run during the process of upgrading. In addition, you need to ensure that the disk you are upgrading is not being used as a system disk.
Enchantment lets you change white or Common items to rare or blue items. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop, located in the Capital District is where you can do this. This method does not add gems or rune slots to the equipment, but it does change its size. It increases the size of the equipment by the size two categories smaller. For instance an example, the size of a Stormtrooper armor is Medium and a Blaster Pistol Small.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be applied to any kind of equipment. This includes weapons and armor. Upgrade components are available through Random drops or side quests. Universal upgrades can be temporary or permanent, and may be combined with Power Ups. They may be linear or branching.
Universal Upgrades start when "internal technology" can provide sentient beings new capabilities that they are extremely unlikely to develop naturally. Implants and prostheses are both examples of internal technology. This type of improvement is not the same as medical internal technology which seeks to restore the natural capabilities. Instead, it is the beginning of an upgrade process that changes civilizations in a fundamental manner. The universal upgrade may be long and complicated. The process can be classified in two categories: complete success and partial failure.
This is similar to how resort upgrades work at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW, they usually happen due to operational needs like overbooking or room availability. In the case of Universal is involved, it may be to relocate guests to a different resort that is open. This is not meant as an insult however, in the current economic climate, it could be difficult to avoid.
Universal upgrades can be applied on any kind of gear. They can also be applied to multiple items at the same time. They are therefore more adaptable than other types of upgrades. This can be a problem when upgrading items on the same gear path. It can increase the levels of each of the items on the route.
Prior to performing an upgrade, it's important to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the application files that are already in use. After that you can install the new files using the GetChildItem-Recurse command, or Unblock-File. You should also perform basic validation against your PSU server to ensure that it works properly.
Jewels
Jewels can be added to armor, weapons or other items. The reagents and gems used to create them can give different stat bonuses and secondary effects. Jewels can also been made at a jewelry table using 1 gem and 5 of the same ingredients to create a jewel of greater or lesser tier. This process is identical to upgrading a gem using the use of a gemcrafting table.
Jewel levels are determined by the number of modifiers that they have. Higher-tier jewels have more than lower-tier jewels. The primary effect is determined by a jewel's tier, while the secondary effect is random. The players can use luck potions to increase their chances of getting better secondary effects.
Jewels can be added to items that have sockets that match, just like other upgrade components. For example Garnet Pebble (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both offer a boost to strength, however the Garnet Pebble is only able to increase the number of hits that are regular, while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's strong attacks. Jewels can be placed in every level of armor, weapon, and accessory slots, as well as some trinkets with rarer or exotic nature which require a slot to be empty.
Gems are a DM-specific mechanism that helps to make items feel special to their owners. With a range of different upgrade paths, jewels allow players to customize their equipment and find the combination that best suits them. They can also upgrade their existing equipment using new jewels in the event that the original set of a certain model is no longer suitable.
Requirements
WoW's item upgrades allow players to level up the levels of their equipment set pieces, weapons, and trinkets above their current level of item from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. These requirements are based on the level of manufacture with weapons generally having more stringent requirements than armor.
In addition to the necessary upgrade components, many upgrade recipes come with an 'Acceptable Materials' list. This list contains the other components of an upgrade that can be used to upgrade an item. It also has an indicator that tells you whether or not it is an assured boost. This is important to know because the value of an upgraded item may vary significantly depending on the 'extras' it has, with perfectly rolling gear worth more than the non-upgraded versions.
For upgrades that require crests or valorstones, these will be listed in a separate list below the main list. The crests and valorstones needed depend on the level of the item that is required, with weapon upgrades requiring the most Valorstones.
